Annoyance with High Contrast Mode

I hate the Windows High Contrast mode now. I realized how inaccessible Windows Accessibility really is, so I guess the best thing is to give my eyes a break if they get tired of the bright colors on the screen. I'm tweaking everything I can about my theme so that I can actually see what I write comfortably on here. I'd use a magnifier program if the demos didn't crash on me or do this weird ripple effect when I move the mouse. I'm sooooo due for a Linux machine soon so I can get rid of this piece of crap!

Ok, to make things worse, I think I'm taking it off high contrast and I go and modify what looks like a normal theme and I go to change my background thing in MSN Messenger and it says "Backgrounds are not available in High Contrast mode" so I turn it off and it goes from the nice Windows Classic theme to Windows XP which I haven't had it in since March. Is there someone out there who knows a way for Windows to stay in regular contrast mode in Windows Classic theme without switching back?

well, you do not have that problem now, since you put APHont there...

APHont is just a font. The main problem I have in High Contrast mode is that some things still stay black, so I have a big black spot where i can't read words, like in DC++ Having a speech synth with DC++ would confuse me since it is kind of an already complicated program.
